Chocolate Jumbles

Serves 10-12

Ingredients

  • 150g (5½oz) plain chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 50g (1¾oz) cornflakes

Method

  1. Break the chocolate into pieces, put into a large basin and melt over hot, but not boiling, water.
  2. Cool, then add the cornflakes and mix together gently, so as not to break the cornflakes.
  3. Spoon into small paper cases and leave until set. If you have no paper cases, place each jumble on a lightly buttered baking sheet or dish.
  4. Leave until set, then store in a cool place until ready to serve.

Notes

It is essential that the cornflakes are very crisp and the melted chocolate cool, although still soft enough to bind with the cereal. If you have no paper cases, place each jumble on a lightly buttered baking sheet or dish. Leave until set, then store in a cool place until ready to serve.
