Ingredients
- 13oz (370g) Jus-rol Shortcrust Pastry, thawed
- 13oz (370g) cooked Christmas meats (chicken, ham, turkey, etc), sliced
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp chicken stock
- salt and pepper
- egg, beaten, to glaze
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 400°F (200°C) gas mark 6.
- Roll out three quarters of the pastry and use to line a seven inch sandwich tin.
- Add the sliced meat and chopped parsley in layers, seasoning well with salt and black pepper.
- Moisten with the chicken stock, and cover with the remaining pastry, rolled out fairly thinly.
- Use the pastry trimmings to decorate the top of the pie, and glaze with beaten egg.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) gas mark 6 for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes before removing from tin.
