Pasta with Bacon (Pancetta)

Serves 6-8

Ingredients

  •   bacon or pancetta, chopped
  • 2 oz butter
  • tiny bit oil
  • 3 oz walnuts, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons single cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 oz salty cheese, grated
  •   pasta, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  •   grated cheese

Method

  1. Chop up bacon or pancetta. Fry in 2 oz butter and a tiny bit of oil.
  2. Add 3 oz chopped walnuts to the frying pan while cooking.
  3. Mix 3 tablespoons of single cream and 1 egg in a bowl. Add 2 oz grated salty cheese.
  4. Put cooked pasta in the frying pan with the cooking bacon. Also add 2 tablespoons of hot water. Stir in the cream and egg mix.
  5. Heat through quickly. Serve with grated cheese over.
