Ingredients
- 2 lb potatoes, peeled and cut into fairly small pieces
- 2 oz butter
- salt
- black pepper, freshly ground
- nutmeg, grated, a dusting
Method
- Peel the potatoes and cut into fairly small pieces. Dry thoroughly.
- Melt half the butter in a shallow dish or large frying pan (or roasting tin) that can be used on the hob and in the oven, then add half the potatoes.
