Mince Slice

Ingredients

  •   onions, chopped
  •   oil
  • 1 tin tomatoes
  •   mince
  •   hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • pinch salt
  •   pepper
  •   pastry, rolled into two rectangles
  •   egg or milk, for glazing

Method

  1. Fry chopped onions in oil.
  2. Add tin of tomatoes and mince. Stir and fry until meat is brown.
  3. Add chopped hard boiled eggs, a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook for a further 20 mins.
  4. Then cool slightly and spread over a rectangle of pastry. Place a second rectangle over the top and turn edges in to crimp.
  5. Fork holes in the top and brush with egg or milk.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven for 20-25 mins.

Notes

Cook time includes approximately 20 mins for filling and 20-25 mins in oven.
