Stroganoff - Pork or Lamb

Ingredients

  •   onions
  •   mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teasp dried mustard
  • 1 teasp tomato ketchup
  • ½ cup port
  •   pork or lamb, cut into strips, seasoned
  • 2 cups stock
  • a little cream

Method

  1. Fry onions lightly, add mixed sliced mushrooms.
  2. Stir in 1 teasp dried mustard with 1 teasp tomato ketchup and ½ cup of port.
  3. Fry strips of meat (seasoned), then add to mushrooms.
  4. Add 2 cups of stock and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Stir in a little cream and serve with triangles of toast.

Serve with triangles of toast.
