Pork and Apple Roll

Serves 4-6 Cook 45 min From Iceland

Ingredients

  • 1lb (500g) diced pork, minced
  • 13oz (368g) frozen puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons frozen sliced onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons (1 x 10ml spoon) dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons (1 x 10ml spoon) Worcestershire sauce
  •   salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons frozen apple slices
  • 2 teaspoons (1 x 10ml spoon) ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg, beaten

Method

  1. Roll out pastry to 14" x 8" (35cm x 20cm).
  2. Mix together pork, onion, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning. Divide into two.
  3. Place half of the pork mixture in a rectangular shape across the centre 4" (10cm) of the pastry, top with sliced apple and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place remaining pork on top of the apple.
  4. Fold half of the pastry over the meat, brush the edge with beaten egg. Fold over the other half of the pastry, seal and turn upside down on a baking tray. Brush with egg.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at Gas Mark 7, 425°F, 220°C.
