Ingredients
- 2 medium cooking apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 175g strawberries, chopped
- sugar, to taste
Method
- Place the apple in a pan with one tablespoon of water, cover and cook gently until pulpy. Add lemon juice and simmer briefly.
- Press the apple through a nylon sieve with half of the strawberries, then leave to cool. When cold, stir in the remaining strawberries and sweeten to taste.
Notes
Can be frozen for up to 6 months. Perfect with ices, pancakes, desserts and fruit salad.
