Ingredients

• 2-3 potatoes, very finely sliced
• 3-4 oz mushrooms, sliced
•   salt and pepper
•   cream, enough to cover

Method

1. Very finely slice the potatoes and layer in a pan - 3-4 layers.
2. Add 3-4 oz sliced mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper and add cream to cover.
3. Add another layer of potatoes (2-3), season with salt and pepper and add cream.
4. Place in oven at gas mark 6 for 10 minutes, then reduce to gas mark 4 for 30-40 minutes.
