Apple Crumble

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, chopped
  • 2 tablesp raisins, marinated in juice 1 hour or overnight
  • 3-4 ozs soft brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 6 ozs flour
  • 6 ozs ground almonds
  • 3 ozs butter
  • 3 ozs sugar
  •   mascarpone, mixed with a little honey, to serve

Method

  1. Marinade raisins in juice for 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Chop apples and mix with raisins, a teaspoon of honey, mascarpone and sugar. Put in base of dish.
  3. Mix flour, ground almonds, butter and sugar together to make the crumble topping. Cover the apple mixture with the topping.
  4. Bake for 35–40 mins in an average oven.
  5. Serve with mascarpone mixed with a little honey.
