Fudge Icing

Ingredients

  • 3oz (200g) icing sugar, sieved
  • 2 tbs golden syrup
  • 3 tbs milk
  • 3oz (75g) margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

  1. Place icing sugar in bowl.
  2. Put remaining ingredients in pan and stir till margarine is melted.
  3. Pour over sieved icing sugar. Stir with wooden spoon until smooth.
  4. Pour over cake as soon as icing coats back of spoon. Can be roughed up with fork.

Notes

NB: Left over fudge icing can be melted down over boiling water.
