Poached Salmon

Ingredients

  • 400g salmon steak or fillet
  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. Rinse salmon under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Place salmon and water in a 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish.
  3. Cover with cling film, turning one corner back to vent.
  4. Microwave salmon on high for 2½ minutes.
  5. Give the dish a half turn, then microwave for a further 2½ minutes or until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork.

Cook times shown as 2½ minutes each stage (OCR rendered as 2'/). Total microwave time approximately 5 minutes.
