Chicken Breasts Dinner Date

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
  • ½ oz plain flour
  • 1 oz butter
  • ½ pint hot stock, made from 1 Golden Cube
  • 1 Golden Cube
  • pinch oregano
  • 2 oz button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 slices cooked ham
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese

Method

  1. Lightly coat the 2 skinned and boned chicken breasts with ½ oz plain flour.
  2. Gently fry the chicken breasts for a minute on each side in 1 oz butter.
  3. Gradually add ½ pint hot stock made from 1 Golden Cube, a pinch of oregano and 2 oz sliced button mushrooms.
  4. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Place a slice of cooked ham on each chicken breast, then a layer of mushrooms, and top with a slice of Cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover and cook until the cheese melts. Serve with the stock.

Notes

Remember to light two candles, and serve the wine well chilled.
