Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
- ½ oz plain flour
- 1 oz butter
- ½ pint hot stock, made from 1 Golden Cube
- 1 Golden Cube
- pinch oregano
- 2 oz button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 slices cooked ham
- 2 slices Cheddar cheese
Method
- Lightly coat the 2 skinned and boned chicken breasts with ½ oz plain flour.
- Gently fry the chicken breasts for a minute on each side in 1 oz butter.
- Gradually add ½ pint hot stock made from 1 Golden Cube, a pinch of oregano and 2 oz sliced button mushrooms.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Place a slice of cooked ham on each chicken breast, then a layer of mushrooms, and top with a slice of Cheddar cheese.
- Cover and cook until the cheese melts. Serve with the stock.
Notes
Remember to light two candles, and serve the wine well chilled.
