Kohl Rabi

Ingredients

  •   kohl rabi, whole, unpeeled
  •   butter or margarine, melted

Method

  1. Cut off the leafy top of the kohl rabi.
  2. Steam or boil the whole unpeeled root until tender, about 30 minutes.
  3. Drain, then peel the root and cut into fairly thick slices.
  4. Toss in melted butter or margarine and serve hot.

Notes

Can be cooked like turnip. It's about the size of a turnip, but green or purple in colour.
