Ingredients
- 1 lettuce
- 175g/6oz cooked ham, cut into strips
- 175g/6oz cooked chicken, cut into strips
- 175g/6oz Edam or Gouda, cut into strips
- ½ ripe avocado, sliced
- 4 spring onions, sliced into rings
- 4 tomatoes, quartered
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- ½ ripe avocado
- 150g/5oz natural yogurt
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Method
- Wash the lettuce and tear into leaves. Use to line a salad bowl. Place the strips of ham, chicken and Edam or Gouda, with the avocado, spring onions, tomatoes and cucumber in a separate bowl and toss well.
- To make the dressing, mash the avocado in a small bowl, then mix in the yogurt and garlic. Just before serving, add the parsley and season to taste.
Notes
If available, ham cooked on the bone is ideal for this recipe. You can replace chicken with cooked turkey, salami or another variety of smoked sausage.
