The Best Pork Loin Steaks

Ingredients

  •   pork loin steaks
  •   oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • a few wedges apple, cored, cut into wedges
  • a handful button mushrooms, wiped
  • a splash Calvados
  •   double cream
  •   rice

Method

  1. In a heavy-based pan, fry the steaks in oil on both sides to brown, then remove.
  2. Fry the finely chopped onion, apple wedges and wiped button mushrooms until golden.
  3. Return the steaks to the pan, add a splash of Calvados and double cream. Bring just to the boil, then serve with rice.
