Ingredients
- 4 small slices bread
- 8 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 oz butter
- 1 level teaspoon dry mustard
- salt and ground black pepper
- 4 tablespoons brown ale
Method
- Toast the bread on both sides until golden.
- Place the other ingredients in a heavy-based pan and heat very gently until creamy.
- Pour over the toast and place under a hot grill until golden and bubbling.
