Bread Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread, without crust
  • ½ pint milk
  • ½ oz butter or margarine
  • ½ medium size onion
  • ¼ teasp. powdered cloves
  •   pepper and salt, to taste

Method

  1. Place bread, in small pieces, into the liquidiser and blend.
  2. Put remaining ingredients into a saucepan and gently simmer for 15 minutes. Add to breadcrumbs.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Reheat and season as required.
