Apple, Orange and Ginger Sauce for Chops or Steaks

Ingredients

  •   orange rind, grated, rind of 1 orange
  • juice of 2 oranges orange juice, juice of 2 oranges
  • 4 tbsp apple purée, prepared
  • 1 tbsp clear honey
  • 1.25cm (1/2") root ginger, peeled and grated
  • 3 tbsp ginger wine, optional

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer uncovered, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Serve poured over grilled chops or steaks.
