Ingredients

  •   streaky bacon
  •   butter
  •   potatoes, thinly sliced, uncooked
  •   onion, finely sliced
  •   chicken stock
  •   cheese, grated

Method

  1. Fry streaky bacon in butter, then remove from pan.
  2. Put a layer of thin sliced uncooked potatoes in the frying pan fat, then a layer of finely sliced onion.
  3. Cover with the cooked bacon and a last layer of thin sliced potato.
  4. Pour chicken stock over to moisten well. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add grated cheese to cover and cook 10 minutes more.
