Ingredients
- 4oz/45g butter
- 1oz/30g flour
- ¾ pt/425ml milk
- 1oz/30g caster sugar
- 3 tbsp/45ml rum
Method
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and cook slowly for 1 minute. Take the pan off the heat.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring all the time. Return to the heat and, still stirring, bring to the boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the sugar and rum.
