How to Skin Tomatoes

Ingredients

Method

  1. Cut a cross in the tops of the tomatoes and gouge out the cores.
  2. Drop the tomatoes into boiling water until the skins start to split (about 10-20 seconds), then take them out and plunge them into iced water.
  3. Lift out the tomatoes with a slotted spoon and slip off their skins.
