Ingredients
- 4 lemons, rind and juice
- 2 oranges, juice only
- 1¾ pints boiling water
- 3–4 oz sugar, according to taste
Method
- Put the rind and juice of four lemons and the juice of two oranges into one and three quarter pints of boiling water.
- Add three to four ounces of sugar according to taste.
- If you have a liquidiser, quickly put the mixture into it.
- Allow to cool and serve with ice cubes.
Notes
Also includes a cocktail recipe from Gosforth Park Hotel: Reindeer's Smile. Take equal measures of both Vodka and Cherry Brandy. Add a dash of cream and stir vigorously with ice cubes. Strain and pour, and sprinkle the drink with cinnamon. Simple and effective!
