Banana Trifle

Ingredients

  • 2 rounds bread and jam (or fruit)
  • 1 per each 2 dishes banana, sliced
  • 4-5 tablespoons sherry or juice
  •   custard, can be tinned
  •   double cream, whipped
  • small meringue

Method

  1. Layer 2 rounds of bread and jam (or fruit) in the dish.
  2. Add sliced banana (1 for each 2 dishes).
  3. Pour over 4-5 tablespoons of sherry or juice.
  4. Cover with custard (can be tinned).
  5. Add a layer of whipped double cream.
  6. Top with small meringue and serve.
