Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- garlic
- mince, if done at home, pulse in mixer with blade
- ½ tin chopped tinned tomatoes
- small piece cinnamon
- ¾-1 pt water
- ½-1 tin kidney beans
Method
- Fry 1 large chopped onion in 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Then add ½ sm tsp cumin and ½ sm tsp chilli powder and stir while cooking slowly for another minute.
- Add garlic also while onions are sweating off.
- Add mince (if done at home, pulse in mixer with blade), then chopped tinned tomatoes (½ tin).
- Add a small piece of cinnamon — NOT TOO MUCH.
- Add ¾-1 pt water and simmer for ½-1 hour.
- Add kidney beans (½-1 tin) for the cooking time.
