Tartare Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ sm onion, chopped
  • pinch salt
  • ½ mustard
  • 6 groundnut oil
  •   black pepper
  •   lemon juice
  • 1 fresh parsley, chopped

Method

  1. Combine egg yolk, chopped onion, pinch of salt and mustard. Drizzle in groundnut oil slowly (about 2 mins) into the mix in an electric mixer on slow speed to make mayonnaise.
  2. Then add black pepper, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley.
  3. Pulse all in mixer until fine.

Notes

Or use bought mayonnaise. Can be served with fish.
