Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  •   oil
  •   onion
  •   sugar
  • 1 large apple, peeled and sliced
  •   red cabbage
  •   vinegar
  •   juniper berries
  •   bay leaves
  • 3 tablespoons water

Method

  1. Heat the oil, add the onion and fry gently until browned. Add the sugar and apple and cook until fluffy and golden.
  2. Stir in the red cabbage, vinegar, juniper berries, bay leaves and three tablespoons of water. Season, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
