Pie - Somerset

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  •   butter
  •   celery, finely chopped
  • 8-12 ozs pork or lamb mince
  •   shortcrust pastry
  •   apple, chopped
  •   Parmesan, grated, very thin layer

Method

  1. Fry sliced medium onion in butter until soft but not brown.
  2. Add finely chopped celery.
  3. Brown 8-12 ozs pork (or lamb) mince.
  4. Line pie dish with shortcrust pastry.
  5. Add a layer of cooled onion and celery, then browned mince and chopped apple, then a very thin layer of grated Parmesan.
  6. Cook in middle oven for 6-30 minutes.
