Ingredients
- Jus-Rol pastry sheets
- eating apples, sliced into thin segments
- egg white, beaten
- caster sugar
- apricot jam, melted
Method
- Take some Jus-Rol pastry sheets and trim and remove the edges.
- Cut the sheets into halves, or into eighths if you're using the larger size, and lay them out on a baking sheet.
- Slice some eating apples into thin segments and press them gently into the middle of the pastry rectangles.
- Brush the borders with beaten egg white and sprinkle lightly with caster sugar. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7.
- If you like, when you remove them from the oven, brush on a little melted apricot jam or sprinkle again with caster sugar.
Notes
Use larger Jus-Rol pastry sheets cut into eighths, or smaller sheets cut into halves. When removed from oven, optionally brush with melted apricot jam or sprinkle again with caster sugar.
