Ingredients
- potatoes, sliced thinly into rounds
- butter, melted
Method
- Potatoes sliced thinly into rounds and pressed well down in a well greased cake tin.
- Brush each layer with melted butter. Fold last outer layer in.
- Cover top layer with foil. Put in 7 oven 1hr 20 mins – 1hr 30 mins.
- Take foil off top and cook in oven 50 mins to 1 hr further.
- Leave to relax in tin for 10 mins. Turn out and grill pale base a few mins.

Serve with lamb.
