Brioche - Eggy Pain Perdu

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ pint milk
  • 2-3 ozs sugar
  •   brioche, cut into medium slices
  •   butter, hot

Method

  1. Beat up 2 eggs with ½ pint milk and 2-3 ozs sugar.
  2. Cut medium slices of brioche and dip into egg mix until thoroughly coated.
  3. Fry in hot butter until golden brown, then turn over and complete second side.
  4. Serve hot with fruit and cream if wanted.
