Ingredients
- 250g (9oz) cooking apples, peeled and chopped
- juice of ½ lemon, juiced
- 1 heaped tbsp golden caster sugar
- 2 tbsp cold water
- a little ground cinnamon
- 25g (1oz) raisins
- 25g (1oz) almonds, chopped
- 1 tbsp low-fat natural yogurt
Method
- Put 250g (9oz) peeled and chopped cooking apples into a pan with the juice of ½ lemon, 1 heaped tbsp golden caster sugar and 2 tbsp cold water.
- Cook gently for 5 minutes until soft.
- Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon over the top and chill for up to three days.
- Serve with 25g (1oz) raisins, 25g (1oz) chopped almonds and 1 tbsp low-fat natural yogurt.
Notes
170cals, 7g fat (of which 1g saturates), 26g carbs per serving. Tester's tip: Put the apples, lemon, sugar and water into a microwave-safe bowl, cover loosely with clingfilm and cook on high in a 850W microwave for 5min until the apple is just soft.
