Ingredients
- 2 medium cooking apples, peeled, quartered and each quarter sliced into 3 long pieces
- 2 tablespoons water
- about ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar, brown or white
- powdered cinnamon
Method
- Peel and slice 2 medium cooking apples. Slice each quarter into 3 long pieces.
- Put a very small amount of water in the pan (2 tablespoons). Put the apple slices over the water and sprinkle with lemon juice (about ½ teaspoon).
- Add 1 tablespoon sugar (brown or white) and powdered cinnamon.
- Heat on low gas and stir after 2-3 minutes.
- Leave on medium heat until it softens and purees.
Notes
Can freeze 3-4 weeks or more.
